BBC Sports Personality & Winona News

The BBC's Sport Personality of the Year featured once again many tracks from Craig and Winona. Music from Romeo + Juliet, Elizabeth The Golden Age and Memory Takes My Hand all received an airing.

The Sunday Telegraph presented their pick of the best CDs of 2008 and Winona's debut album, Rosebud, was named No.3 in this influential collection. After apologising to readers for 'depriving you of eight whole months you could have spent, swooning to one of the most deliriously beautiful, electronic sound-scapes created this year' the reviewer goes on to cite Winona as 'equal to Kraftwerk, Ulrich Schnauss and John Carpenter at their very best'.

Updated 12/05/08 - New Classical Release

Memory Takes My Hand is a new classical release from Craig Armstrong. The album is out on June 2 and features three new classical compositions.

“I wanted to find a direct language using tonality but being firmly routed in the 21st century. An abstract defuse way of writing much like the way an abstract painting where the images are blurred. And in this case melodies are hidden and slowly revealed. I have always had a fascination with sonority and orchestration in much a similar way in the way a painter deals with the subtle nuances of colour."
